I am building a custom interface for my pedalboard.
Can someone confirm that I really only need 3 pins (Pin 2, 4 & 5) for the actual midi communication.
I'm assuming that the other pins are all used for power and aren't 100% necessary if the unit is powered by a power supply.
Is that correct?

GCP - Possible to do an 8 button mode?
I know I can use either the 4 button or 10 button mode; but is there any chance of doing some kind of 8 button mode? I really only need 4 instant access buttons and more than 4 preset buttons; so it'd be better if I could have 8 preset buttons with 4 instant access buttons. Is there a way to accompl...

Re: GCX Programming WITHOUT GCP?
What about a software based midi controller?
Is there some sort of virtual midi controller that I can configure to send Program Changes or multiple CCs at the same time?

Re: GCX Programming WITHOUT GCP?
Is there a way to program the GCX without a GCP? Like a software editor or something? No official Voodoo Lab editor. There is a third party Ground Control editor available, but from all reports it doesn't work very well. You can find a download link in the thread titled GCP and software , if you wa...

Re: Help with CC / GCP
Thanks John - you're the man.
I did have a ring/tip mix up on one of the CC pedals and one of the presets was not set to have P1 or P2 pointing at the right device - all is right in the world now.

Help with CC / GCP
I have an issue with my setup and I'm thinking that it's related to the GCP / CC pedal...since it gave me a problem with two different effects units. Here's the first issue that I assumed was related to a G-Major2, continue on rfor more info on the second issue... My setup: Guitar -> Egnater M4 -> G...

Ground Control Pro CC/PC question
In 10 button mode, can the GCPro send both a PC *AND* CC change at the same time?
I don't want to use 4 button mode and then have a PC on one of the 4 buttons and then also step on a 1-8 instant access button.
