Re: New User and Want to get the power Right

Based on the link you provided, the Maxon compressor uses 11mA DC center negative, so basically any of the outputs would work.

The Boomerang needs 500mA, so you might have to combine outputs if you are using one of the older Voodoo Lab power supplies.

Pedal Power 3 Plus included cables

Hi,

I just got a PP3+ and it came with 13 cables. 12 of them are black on both ends, and one is red at one end. Am I correct in assuming the 12 black on both ends cables are standard tip negative cables and the one red one is tip positive?

Re: Pedal Power 3 Plus Brackets

Pitbull Audio has had the PP3+, but in very limited quantities. I have seen a handful of other vendors have them too. The big ones like Sweetwater and Musician's Friend/Guitar Center have not had any in stock any of the times I've looked. Chicago Music Exchange is predicting they will ship in late M...

Re: Pedal Power X4 Linear or switching ?

Interesting. Is there any possibility of a "Pedal Power X8" or something similar? i.e. 2000 mA total over 8 outputs? I like that you don't have to worry about which output to use for power hogs like the EQD Avalanche Run. I know that the 4x4 would work, but it is a little nicer to just plug in a bun...

Re: Pedal Power 2+ can you daisy chain two pedals from 1 output?

Yeah, just in general, the digital pedals tend to need a little more current. Also, I'm just a Voodoo Lab PP 2+ user, so if anything I say is contradicted by the experts, I'd go with what they say. I did a little research via google to find power requirements. I actually keep a spreadsheet of my ped...

Re: Pedal Power 2+ can you daisy chain two pedals from 1 output?

Are you using the sub n up mini on a daisy chain already? I believe it requires 100 mA and it’s definitely digital. I just ask because generally a digital pedal with higher current draw will mean you’d want to isolate it. Your chain has other pedals that are analog and low draw that I’d daisy chain ...

Re: Pedal Power X4 vs Pedal Power X4 expander kit

That does help! Not that I am going to...but if I max out every one of the 8 outputs on my Pedal Power 2+, I will be ok?? The was something I read about the Pedal Power X4 having a total current draw of 1000 mA, so theoretically if you plugged in, say, 3 EQD Avalanche Runs (425 mA, I think), you'd ...

Re: Pedal Power X4 vs Pedal Power X4 expander kit

So here's another question... What is the maximum mA the PP2+ can provide? and if you plug an x4 into the PP2+'s courtesy outlet, does that count against the maximum? The Courtesy Outlet is completely independent from the DC Outputs. Connecting the X4 power adapter here will not affect the Pedal Po...

Re: Pedal Power X4 vs Pedal Power X4 expander kit

Purchased as an expander kit, there is no included power source. And as such, the X4 itself would be powered from a high current 12VDC output of some other Pedal Power supply (likely a Pedal Power 4x4 or Pedal Power MONDO) thus "expanding" the number of isolated outputs attainable from that supply....
