Re: GC Pro + Control Switcher + Mesa Roadster: channel switc
Thank you for taking the time to reply, Dom, that's what I suspected. I don't think it's a problem; I'm used to the way it's currently laid out and it works well enough. I was just curious to know whether there was another way around the channel switching and you've answered my question. Thanks agai...

GC Pro + Control Switcher + Mesa Roadster: channel switching
I'm using a GCX, Control Switcher and GC Pro with a Mesa Roadster combo. For a while, I've been using the GC Pro in 4 preset mode with each preset, 1-4, in each bank, selecting channels 1-4 of the amp, using the Control Switcher to change amp channels. I've been thinking about changing things around...

Ground Control Pro update
I seem to recall some time ago there was mention of an update for GCP, with a new Instant Access Mode with two banks of 12 Instant access buttons...

MIDI cable solution for GCP
Wondering if anyone can help me... I have the GCX in a rack and the GCP permanently fixed to a large-ish pedal board. However, despite the size of the pedalboard, the standard MIDI cable (ie. 20ft long with straight ends) occasionally gets knocked out of the back of the GCP at small gigs, usually by...

Re: Control Switcher question
BINGO!
Thank you so much, Dom! Your explanation made perfect sense and everything now works as intended. And so easy when you know how!
I owe you a pint - look me up if you're ever in the UK.
All the best,
Piers

Re: Control Switcher question
Dom, Thanks for taking the time to reply. Super-neat set-up you've got there! Your GC Pro is exactly how I'd like to set mine up. If possible, please could you talk me through how you set-up the Control Switcher/GC Pro so that the four switches on the bottom row change channels (presumably with a CC...

Re: Control Switcher question
Hi John, Thank you for your help with this. I initially set up the Switcher as "GCX 2" in the Ground Control Pro, running at the end of the MIDI chain, after the G Major 2. Everything worked perfectly in the sense that I could allocate an IA switch to each of the four Switcher functions, but doing i...

Control Switcher question
I have a Mesa Roadster, G Major 2 in a rack, plus GCX and GCP, and a couple of pedals. With my previous amp, which just had two channels, I had the Instant Access buttons set up to control four of the G Major effects (IA 1-4), amp channel switching (IA 5), pedals (IA 6 & 7) and solo boost (IA 8), wh...
