Re: Odd Switching Behavior
I'd start just by swapping the Mobius and the EQ on path 4 just to see what happens. Another quick test would be to run directly out of the GCX to the EQ alone just to see if it still does the same thing. Let us know what you find! I think the 2nd suggestion would be the best place to ultimately st...

Re: Odd Switching Behavior
What is the MIDI path through this rig? If you move the MIDI EQ further up the chain does the intermittent switching stay the same? John, Thanks for taking the time to reply. Unfortunately, I am not in front of my rig to trace it out. I'll give it a go based on my memory... GCP>GCX>Line6 Echo Pro>D...

Odd Switching Behavior
I have a midi controlled rig that has been for the most part, functioning the way it is intended. I normally do not have the opportunity to use this in my house due to the weight of the rack case and the fact that the main living floor in my house is the 2nd floor. I was able to get some help with i...

Re: GSP1101 and Ground Control Pro as Stompbox
One minor detail about this is that I'm not sure setting the "5 patch mode" that you describe is necessary. I don't recall ever having to do this. All of your other directions are spot on, but i feel you may be doing more than is needed. I think i steered away from this menu option is because i assu...

Re: GCP/GCX Question
So you want to have Control Change messages control which parameters on which of these pieces of gear? ;) So after reviewing my list, the gsp and echo pro can be setup as needed. The möbius might prove to be more of a problem, as the cc's are fixed. Any thought? You mentioned "careful filtering" (i...

Re: GCP/GCX Question
The Ground Control Pro will default to using MIDI Channel 16 for all GCX communication as long as you don't define a Device in the MIDI Channel/Name section as using channel 16. Here are the Controller numbers for the additional GCX #s GCX #2 Normal (Latching) = 88-95 / Momentary = 112-119 GCX #3 N...

Re: 1 GCX - independent rigs
That's great to hear. Two bits on good news from you today.JohnClark wrote:The GCX Loops are all isolated from each other.
As an example, you could have a single GCX switch do one switch function in eight different rigs.
So unless you are sharing pedals between the two rigs, you should be completely fine!

Re: GCP/GCX Question
You couldn't make the one GCX in your rig respond as GCX #2, but you might be able to use the GCX #2 Control Change messages to control whatever it is you are trying to ultimately do. What device(s) are you hoping to send these Control Change messages to? Well this is interesting.... By default, wh...

1 GCX - independent rigs
I have been scheming lately to consolidate both my and my wife's pedals and amp switching in one rack while using only one GCX. On paper, I can totally make it work with the number of loops available. My concern in doing this is that I will create some ground loops between the two amp rigs. What do ...

Re: GCP/GCX Question
I'm thinking the short answer here is No because your GCPro will be looking for two MIDI devices while you have only one device connected to it. What are you currently controlling with your GCPro/GCX, and how many additional external devices do you want to control? Without that information, it's im...
