Re: Hum problem and some wrong advice needed!
I have the compressor connected to loops 1 and 2 (seperately) via the in/out on the back of the compressor, delay pedal connected to loop 3. The compressor and delay are both currently running through the fx loop of the amp (input of loop 1, output of loop 3) but I want the compressor "in the front"...

Re: Hum problem and some wrong advice needed!
Thanks for explaining (and being so patient), much appreciated. Though would this method allow the delay pedal to be switched seperately I.e a seperate loop? The reason I ask is because the 2nd channel on the compressor is used for my lead channel, and is dialled in differently, so when I switch to ...

Re: Hum problem and some wrong advice needed!
It was the second stage I had real difficulty with. And ideally, I'd like to just have the delay on a seperate loop...I use the delay with my clean channel, solo channel and my rhythm b channel. I'm 90% sure I got the first stage right, but I've noticed it does take quite a lot of volume out of the ...

Re: Hum problem and some wrong advice needed!
Sorry, my bad. When I tried to follow your instructions, I ran out of sockets on the compressor. It's entirely possible that I misread it. I think when you said "sidechain in/out" there wasn't enough inputs to connect in and out. I'll try it again though.

Re: Hum problem and some wrong advice needed!
Hi, here's a link to a PDF of my compressor. It's an alto acl 2 (older and slightly different to the acl2 pro)

Re: Hum problem and some wrong advice needed!
Hi, I only have 1 side chain socket on the compressor. The manual you looked at may be from a newer model? Help would seriously be appreciated! Thanks

Re: Hum problem and some wrong advice needed!
Thanks. Don't suppose you'd have a diagram or could tell me how to connect it through the front? Cheers

Hum problem and some wrong advice needed!
Hi, I've not posted in a while but basically need to start from scratch I think. I've been getting some bad him on my overdrive channel and the noise gate/ compressor doesn't sound right. When I plug straight into the amp, it sounds full and pretty mean to be honest. Doesn't seem to be as much outpu...

Re: Noise gate with gcx audio switcher and gcp help!
Thanks man, I'll try that! Sorry, I meant the fx loop of my amp.
