success! there was still a cold solder on the midi input jack from constantly plugging/unplugging my board. so now that it's fixed I drilled a couple of small holes through the back and into the corners of that jack and countersunk a couple of small screws in there to keep it from ever moving again!

No, I agree John... it does get beat up pretty bad on the road with 200 dates per year bouncing around in a trailer through crappy Canadian roads! I'll check out the connections on the power supply and possibly replace the input and power supply connectors. thanks for the help!

I've been using a GCX and Ground Control unit for a couple of years now and for a couple of months in the middle of a show my GCX will stop "listening" to my ground control, all the loop lights will light up continuously and all my effects will be on... until I shut the unit off and turn back on it ...
