Dom,
I wanted to thank you for your help with this. I finally got around to connecting everything and it works great. Taking up 4 instant access slots kinda sucks, but it's better to use one vehicle for tap-dancing than two. Thanks again.

Re: GCX with Laney IRT60H
Dom, I don't know what I was thinking. I meant 2 GCX loops just to switch the channels. The other 2 would be for the boost / reverb. I follow. The Control Switcher is more for multiple amps, no? It looks to me like you still need to use 4 GCX loops with it and one amp. I'm new to all of this stuff, ...

Re: GCX with Laney IRT60H
This will only take up 2 GCX loops, correct?

Re: GCX with Laney IRT60H
Dom, the link that you provided is a 2 to 1 insert cable. How does this work with my GCX? I am assuming the 2 go into the Laney and the 1 gets split in 2 channels of the GCX? Was this just an example of the type of cable I would need? 2 separate cables, each one going into its own channel on the GCX?

GCX with Laney IRT60H
John, I want to use my GCX to control the channel, reverb, and boost switching on my new Laney IronHeart and am unsure of what I need to do. Instead of trying to find a cable for the footswitch to GCX, like the Peavey ones, should I be looking at the Amp Selector? I am not sure how to accomplish thi...

Re: GCX Setup Help
I saw all of the units, but when pressing the loop on the second unit, it did not light up in the rack. I went through all of the options again and went on to exit the setup mode. After GCP rebooted, something changed and everything is working now. The loops light up on the rack and I am able to acc...

Re: GCX Setup Help
John, Here's a follow-up after playing around with this last night. Currently, I have 2 GCX's hooked up. GCX 2 has the 256XL in Loop 1. Loop 6 of the GCX 1 goes into Loop 1 of GCX 2 from the amp's effects loop. I programmed the GCP under the Expanders section to GCX 1, GCX 2 (both -- for channels), ...

Re: GCX Setup Help
John, Everything is sounding great. Working on programming up my patches now. Can you explain the MIDI part of programming for dummies? I have a Digitech 256XL that I have plugged into a loop. I want to be able to assign programs on the 256XL to a patch. Is there an easy way to understand this? Also...

Re: GCX Setup Help
John, how does this look for up front:
Guitar->Tuner->Wah->Whammy->Sparkle Drive->Flanger->ISP->Amp ?
I tried all of my pedals out in front and in the loop yesterday. These are the ones I want in front. Next is placement!
