Re: Mesa Road King Channel Switching + GCP + GCX
In order to do mesa switching... A simple 1/4 patch or instrument cable must be placed from the GCX OUT/N.O. jacks to the external switching jacks on mesa. Example: Loop 1 Out/N.O. > Mesa Ch 1 External switching jack. Loop 2 Out/N.O > Mesa Ch2 External switching jack. Loop 3 Out/N.O > Mesa Ch3 Exter...

Re: Dual Rect Switching Question
Actually I think it will just default to no channel on. None of the leds will be lit up. In order to have channel one be default, then the channel selection switch on back would need to be on channel 1 instead of ftsw. Then, when neither 2 or 3 is active, it will default to ch 1.

Re: new to gcx ground "major tom" control
There is no need to use a GCX loop to bypass the other GCX loops in a chain. If you have three devices in an effects loop that are each switched by separate GCX loops, then the function of "Loop #A" would be accomplished by bypassing the three GCX loops with the effects. The effect send can run dir...

Re: new to gcx ground "major tom" control
I get it... you should have mentioned that you had a two channel recto which I believe you have. No effects loop switching, only channel switching right?? In order to have a on/off effects loop, you would have to route: amp effects send-> loop #A in -> A send -> loop #B in -> loop #B send -> pedal/P...

Re: new to gcx ground "major tom" control
It depends if you want all the switching features to work with your amp as in, you want to be able to switch ch 1, 2, 3 and solo and fx loop. If so, then you will need 5 free loops in your gcx leaving only 3 free to use for pedals. The wah should be in front of amp. Loop 1 out/N.O. to Ch 1 ExSw inpu...

Re: GCX - recto channel switching problem
I believe you need to have a TRS to dual mono cable to switch both channels. You would insert the TRS end in the mesa external switching/footswitch jack and the tip mono plug in loop 7 OUT/N.O. and ring mono plug in loop 8 OUT/N.O. Loops would be set to normal. Re: Best expression pedal period?
I use two Mission ep-1 in metal color. One is for volume and the other controls wah or whammy. Works great. You need to let them know that it is for a ground control pro so that they calibrate the pot for it to work a lil better. Or you could do it yourself.
