The Pre-Dessasembled 2011 rack
Moving a few pieces of this rig, so I figured I'd snap some pics before I tore it apart. Really enjoyed it like this, but onward and upward. http://www.fastrackaudio.com/pics/2011rigaweb.jpg http://www.fastrackaudio.com/pics/2011rigbweb.jpg http://www.fastrackaudio.com/pics/2011rigcweb.jpg http://ww...

Re: Suggestions for a rackmount fx processor to replace PODH
Check out the Lexicon MPX G2. It was made for 4 cable method. They can usually be found for around $300. I tested mine against a digitech GSP 1101, rocktron prophesy, and a TC GMajor. Even as old as it is, the MPX was noticeably more transparent than anything else. I've got mine set up as a virtual ...

Re: Transmit a MIDI CC with Program Change?
I don't think that's possible. Pretty sure you can only do program changes.

Re: Transmit a MIDI CC with Program Change?
I think if you set the IA button to transmit with preset, it would do this. It's somewhere in the manual about how to do that.

Building a Wah controller
I decided to draw up a little diagram (from memory so please, feel free to notify me of corrections) of the Wah controller with a switch built in for controlling a MIDI Wah w/ the GCP. My pedal already had a hole in place for the switch, so I got off pretty esy, only needing a small hole for the LED...

Re: The tap tempo thang...
Just looking at my options. My two devices with tap tempo are a Lexicon MPX-G2 and a TC Electronic GMajor.

The tap tempo thang...
Looking over several posts about building a tap tempo switch for one of the expression pedal ports on the GCP, no one mentioned if the switch should be momentary or latching. Seems like the momentary switch would be the right thing since that's how my tap temp IA is currently set.

Re: Getting Shimmer Using Parallel Set Up
I have a Digitech IPS33b that does this incredibly well. I just assign a pedal to control the mix% of the shimmer instead of trying to do any crazy parallel routing thing. Works in my rig at least.

Re: MIDI Chain order question.
Is there something that I'm missing then? Before I got the GCX, I was using the GCP with a standard 5 pin cable, getting phantom power from the M4, no problem. Is there some kind of conflict with a standard MIDI signal coming from the GCX?
