My prefered signal path would be to use the Pod for front end effects and along with the GM2 for post preamp effects. But I would also love to hear a way to hook this up and use the pod as an alternate preamp path.

You can test for a problem by simply plugging your guitar into the front panel Feedthru... however this will introduce more loading on your pickups due to the additional, now non-buffered, cable. Actually I found my answer by digging a little deeper in the forum. Turns out with the loops internally wired, the GCX won't be able to be used for switching amp channels/features. Dayum!
