Re: Any Idea What This May Be?
It looks like a loose connection or a loose EEPROM Open up the GCX and make sure that everything is seated correctly... The EEPROM is a big 'chip' with the white sticker in the middle of the circuit board... http://medias.audiofanzine.com/images/thumbs3/voodoo-lab-gcx-audio-switcher-239519.jpg I hop...

Re: Needing a Mixer
Hi Tazz Normally I would leave well enough alone but I have to reinforce my last few e-mails... Feeding your awesome analog Triaxis preamp signal into three serially connected processors (the two Line6 devices and the 16-bit RV-70) chops up your analog signal as it goes through [3] A to D and [3] D ...

Re: Needing a Mixer
If it sounds better ... yes
But, serial connection of your effects, (namely the RV-70 16 bit sampling + 2 more 24 bit A-D and D-A conversions in the Line 6 pro echo and pro mod), wreak havoc on your Triaxis tone

Re: Needing a Mixer
Hey Tazz... I'm going to give you an example of my recommended set-up... surprise its a parallel FX connection... :D The output of the Tremolo is split to both Triaxis inputs. Both Triaxis "B" outputs feed GCX Loop 3 which selects which Triaxis DRY feeds the FX inputs (could be a clean dry or an ove...

Re: rig diagram help
Hi Devon I don't see anything glaringly wrong with your proposal... (Beside the use of 4 gates and the possible overload of the Boss Chorus :D ) The best thing to do is to wire it up and work through any problems until you are completely happy! Good Luck.... Please let me know if you have any questi...

Re: rig diagram help
Hello MesaQuad (if that is your real name 8-) ) Here is a typical design that uses all of your components except the Boss Chorus, (the output of the MESA Amp Switcher will overload the chorus so I recommended a TC G-Major or equivalent Rack processor) This design might not be exactly what you want b...

Re: Will this work? Two preamps with GCX and Ground Control
Hey Tazz (if that is your real name 8-) ) All of my drawings are created in Microsoft Visio using custom "shapes" that I have created over the past 10+ years. I have custom made Visio shapes for the GCX in/out connectors, all of the front and rear panels of the rack equipment, and pedals, that I hav...

Re: Bypassing a Korg SDD-2000
Hey Lars, John I was thinking about this as well.. since HRI has gone dark :( I am a big proponent of Parallel FX systems... Leave your SDD-2000 Un-Bypassed and just mute the INPUT! You can use your preamp outputs to: 1. feed a dry signal directly to a rack-mixer and 2. feed the SDD-2000 input via a...
