GC Pro firmware and questions
I have an older DMC model GC Pro, running Ver1.11. I have a few questions: - Can I upgrade the firmware on my specific unit? If so to what? - What is the current, stable firmware version for the GC Pro? - How can I go about obtaining the most recent EProm chip? - Are there any differences between th...

Question: GCPro Device Start Number
I'm a little confused about how the GCPro handles device start numbers I've read the manual and understand the MIDI concepts. What I am confused about is how the function is displayed in the GCPRO. Am I correct in saying that: Start at 00 = keep the standard convention of the program change range of...

Re: MIDI signal loss from my GCP
I could be wrong but it sounds to me as if Obey 40 wasn't designed to filter MIDI status messages properly. It also sounds like there might be an issue with its ability to buffer incoming data. GCX Return GND lift - why?
The manual says that the GCX cuts down on ground loops by lifting the return ground. Wouldn't this action be negated since the audio signal is connected to Out which is most likely connected to the rest of the Audio common? i'm confused.

Re: GCPro issue: many devices, same MIDI channel
Can I control my CAE 4x4 audio loops (CC#11-19) with any of the 200 GCpro Presets or are they solely controllable through the instant access buttons?

GCPro issue: many devices, same MIDI channel
Whenever I attempt to assign more than one device to the same MIDI channel on the GCPro, I get transmission drop outs. The effect unit I am trying to control just doesn't respond.
Is this an issue with the effect unit or the GCPro?
Thanks.
