Re: help controlling Mesa MarkV , G-force and Ground control
The G-Force doesnt have the switching outputs that you need to control the MarkV directly, so you are going to need a midi device that provides the needed outputs. The Mark V can either use the DIN connection or several switched output connections. I have a similar setup and I use an RJM mini amp gi...

Re: GCP/GCX with G-Major 2 and Mesa Mark V
Hi Levenso. My rig is very similar to use. GCX to some stompobox pedals. I use an eclispse where you've got a G-Maj. I also have a Mark V. The one difference in my rig to yours is that I have an RJM Mini Amp Gizmo which makes life much easier for controlling the amp and accessing all its switchable ...

Re: Calling all Gurus!!!
Correct Nyteowl. The GMaj2 does have the option for mono in, stereo out. So for a simple switching between the two heads Codasound (one on or the other on) the full connection would be: Guitar into GCX Guitar In on the front of the GCX. Guitar Out on the back of the GCX to amp1 input Guitar Thru on ...

Re: Calling all Gurus!!!
As a first starting step Codasound, I'd suggest instead of running your guitar in to the loop 1 input that you run it to the GCX Guitar In at the front of the GCX and then bridge the output at the back across to your preamp inputs. This will put the GCX input buffer in there to help drive the signal...

Re: Looking for preset layout suggestions
Hi Midifail. I do have amp switching. My physical setup is 3 midi devices: 1. a Mesa Mark V amp, 3 channels via a RJM Mini Amp Gizmo (in GCX emulation mode)to do the channel switching and access to Solo on/off, Reverb on/off, EQ on/off and Mute on/off. 2. I have a GCX switching on/off my favourite s...

Re: New rig setup - which way to go with GCPro config??
Current setup - 2 IA buttons for solo and reverb on/off on the amp, 4 IA buttons on GCX switching on/off stompboxes. 2 unassigned at present. If I stay with this config, then I would probably assign the other two - one for tap tempo, one for amp mute on/off, so they'd be full. Of the preset buttons ...

Looking for preset layout suggestions
I'm using the GCPro and looking for suggested presets and layouts for them that people find most useful. What sounds are people setting up, how do they have them organised, and why they have them the way they do? I've always been a pedalboard minded tap dancer, but want to shift my thinking to a mor...

Re: New rig setup - which way to go with GCPro config??
I checked in with Ron at RJM and he explained what was going on. In the group mode, the gizmo responds with a channel change to an ON signal. Switch for 1, it sends an ON to ch1 and thats what I hear. Switch for 2 sends an ON to Ch2 and thats what I get. Switch 1 again sends an OFF for ch1 and nothi...

Re: New rig setup - which way to go with GCPro config??
Good thoughts. Thank you. I had sort of settled on volume in line from the guitar, and same as you I have one with a tuner out which works tidily so will stick with that. No fuss, no mess, all good. I switched my program to 4 presets/bank mode last night as per your first response. It was wins for m...

Re: New rig setup - which way to go with GCPro config??
Nyteowl - you're a legend. Thank you. Good thought on the tip re switching the Eclipse in and out. I am setting the rig up with a few redundancies in it for my live gigging. My fav O/D and Dist in case the amp channels or switching fail and I only have a clean channel, then I can use pedals. Suffici...
