Re: GCPro and Ableton question

it's doable, but takes some effort.
the issue I found, at least with my testing, is that Ableton sees the buttons as pitch bend, only.
my solution was to use a midi translator to change the messages to my desired note type. and voila, Ableton control from the GCP.
YMMV, IMHO, IIRC, whatever.

Re: Peavey 6505+ + GCX + Ground Control Pro

well, aren't I the one with the egg on my face.... i was thinking about the 6505/5150 yes, you'd need a breakout cable to make it work. other than getting hold of that cable, it's all very straightforward in making the GCX switch the amp. you could probably make the cable as well, if you're confiden...

MIDI activity light, always on during use.

I'm using two GCX units, controlled by Ableton. the loops switch on and off fine, but, I assume because of the way ableton does midi notes, the MIDI activity light is always solidly lit. I have no loss in functionality, I just want to verify that no harm will come to my GCXs from having a signal con...

Re: Peavey 6505+ + GCX + Ground Control Pro

have you read the manual, at all? the 6505+ needs no special cable (that i'm aware of). Just use a Y cable to split off to two jacks on the GCX and the other single TRS end into your 6505+. [for your channel/effects relays] the effects loops is the easy part and is what the GCX was meant to do. conn...

Re: What is current draw of GCX switcher

Hi, sorry to resurrect an old thread but, since there are two 1200ma outputs on a Pedal Power AC, would i be able to reliably use one for each GCX/GCP rig? (i see the GCX PS sends 1A) I have two GCX rigs. each will utilize the footswitch only some of the time. would it be safe&reliable to run the GC...

Re: Sending control change messages TO the GCP (and GCX)

i've checked a few times in the various menus, obviously including the MIDI menu, and cannot find anything about a link or slave mode setting. i have two GCP's. one is a newer voodoo lab version. i have not tried on this unit yet. the other is a DMC GCP, running firmware 1.02. do i need to upgrade t...
