Here's a board that I did for a client back east needed a small grab-and-go board for smaller gigs with a lot of different tonal flavors.
We had restrictions on this board due to the size of the board be fairly small and not having too much depth to place an interface where I normally like to put them. In any case, I was able to fit everything in, and the board sounded awesome!
The client also wanted a custom interface to have a buffer built into it, as well as the ability to use the Boss DD-20 Delay and Boss Volume Pedal in front of the amp (when using vintage Fender Amps) or in an effects loop (when using a higher-gain Bogner amp). There is a patch built in to link the SEND/RETURN to the AMP OUT on the interface to do this. It's very effective and makes the rig even more versatile and usable with any amp.
The order of the effects are:
INTERFACE (in/custom buffer)--> Fulltone Clyde Wah--> Compressor--> Voodoo Lab Micro Vibe--> Fulltone Fulldrive II--> Fulltone OCD v.4--> Chorus--> Fulltone Supa-Trem--> INTERFACE (out to amp)
Effects Loop:
SEND--> Boss FV-300 Volume Pedal--> Boss DD-20 Delay-->RETURN
Overall the board sounded really great. The buffer matched the direct sound identically.
*Stand Outs: I have always been very impressed and continue to be impressed with the Fulltone Supa-Trem, it is the closest tremolo to a trem unit in a vintage Fender. Also, the Voodoo Lab Micro Vibe is a great Uni-Vibe for the price (less than $100 used). It's a little bright, but nevertheless gets a great throb and has a good richness.
