hey dude beautiful rig. few questions...how do you like the g90? how are you using xlr cables as mono guitar cables (like how did you solder them)? where did you guy your snake/if you made that snake, what kid of cables did you use and what did you use for the "tubing"? thanks for any help!

Thanks!
The G90 is awesome. It's the best consumer wireless I've heard.
I custom made a patch-box for the board. The XLR cables are XLR3 for audio, volume pedal (1=shield, 2=hot, 3=not in use). The other are for MIDI, tap tempo, remote Wah-Wah, 9 VAC etc, they are XLR7. I have my business in Scandinavia so the brands I use are Klotz cables for audio and Ethernet, same quality as Mogami or Belden. Do a search on "Expandable Braided Cable Sleeving" and you will find to buy that in your country.

Good luck,
G

Thanks for the response! huge help.
so just a little clarification.. you use XLR to for power and MIDI data? is there a different between XLR (like a mic cable) and XLR7?
Sorry if I sound like an idiot. I'm a 17 year old out of the U.S. and this forum is my lifeline to making my rig as nice as these! so thanks for the help

There are a few different "XLR" type jacks/plugs with each main variation having a different number of pins... for instance the common microphone connector is a three pin XLR. The XLR7 that goran is using is a seven pin XLR. I would guess that the main reason these connectors are being used is that they are locking connectors, which means the plug locks into the jack and the release button has to be pushed to remove the jack.

I hope that helps!

p.s. Opeth rules! Thanks for sharing you handiwork goran!

Cool, good question.
Yes, like John points out - the MIDI output connectors today on MIDI boards are 5-pin or 7-pin DIN-connectors (like the GCP have).
The reason we use a patch-box (with XLR) is to make everything sturdier "for the road". This is something you don't need to have to make good music. For a band like Opeth, doing festivals, all cases and all cabling is over-sized.
Other artists I do work for put the GCP in their suitcase, use regular MIDI cables and are happy and successful.
"Travel light" is the reality today so try to not to make your rig too heavy.

ps. Thanks John.
