Here's a board that I did for a local client that needed a bass pedalboard board for an upcoming tour with a newly formed Bay Area Band. He wanted to go for the Jesus Lizard type sound on bass, especially with the drive/distortion selection of pedals he chose. The requirements were that the board be as light weight as possible (using lightweight pedalboard material), and very compact. The client predominantly wanted different flavors of drives, distortions, and octave pedals, but also a delay to run in the effects loop of his Bass Amp.
The client requested a custom interface to allow for the Delay - Line 6 DL-4 to be used in the effects loop, while leaving all other pedals in front of the amp. He also requested that the orientation of all the cabling be on the left side of the board because of his stage position during shows.
I also modded the Line 6 DL-4 to improve the durability of the switches and different color LED's for the presets and Tap Tempo.
The order of the effects are:
INTERFACE IN (from bass)--> Korg Pitchblack Tuner--> Fender Blender Octave/Boost--> EBS Multi-Comp Compressor--> Fulltone Bass-Drive--> ProCo Deuce Tone RAT--> INTERFACE OUT (to amp)
EFFECST LOOP SEND--> Line 6 DL-4--> EFFECTS LOOP RETURN
*Stand Outs: The Fulltone Bass-Drive is a great drive even with guitar. I really liked how it kept the bass really tight unlike a traditional Tube-Screamer-ish pedal. Very impressive! I also really liked the EBS Multi-Comp, it's a popular choice among bass players, and I totally get it, very great tones, and nice tube compressor emulation.
Enjoy!
