Pedal Power Mondo Question

Post by dimar5150 »

I'm looking to get a one stop pedal power for my board which has 11 pedals on it.

They are mostly Boss but if I plug a pedal into a power slot that that can be used for digital pedals with higher outputs with a lower output pedal such as a Boss DS1, will it work? Can I damage the pedal power or the pedal itself?

No it won't damage the pedal. As long as the output mA is higher than what the pedal uses, it's fine. A "high-current" 400mA output won't damage a 5mA distortion pedal.

And I can power up to what looks like 14 pedals, if they are all 9v?

As long as you don't exceed the rated output, it should be fine. Make sure all the pedals on the one output are the same polarity, ie. centre-negative.

Without daisy-chaining, that'd be 12 pedals at 9V. Two of the output sections on the far left have a 9V Jack and a 12V Jack that share the 400mA capacity.

Other than that, sagaci has you on the right track!

Good Luck!

p.s. Thanks to sagaci for helping out around here!
