Can i run a Roland GR-30 from Pedal Power 2

Post by tonyfalcon »

Please can someone tell me if i can run a GR-30 Guitar synth from a PP2? (from 5&6 with current doubler?)The synth requires 9v 500ma.

4 other pedals that i'd be wanting to power also from the PP2 would draw 211ma combined. (3 are 9v and one is 12v ACA)

I also occasionally use a midi controller that requires DC 9v/12v OR AC 9v/12v 200ma which presumably i could power from two of the 100ma outputs also using a current doubler?.

Cheers!

Ditto XT Looper (DC 9v 100ma)
Boss CS3 compression (DC 9v 11ma) 12v ACA
Boss AW3 Auto-wah (DC 9v 50ma)
Boss Phase PH-3 (DC 9v 50ma)
BK Butler Tube Driver (AC 110v)
PEAK midi controller (DC/AC 9v/12v 200ma)
Roland GR-30 (9v 500 ma)

If what you have is actually a Pedal Power 2+, then yes this will all work great!

If you actually have the Pedal Power 2 (not the + model) then you will likely need to power the GR-30 using its original adapter connected to the Courtesy Outlet on the back of the Pedal Power.

I hope that helps!
