ISO-5 help

Post by lespaul »

Hello,

Can anyone please let me know if this is possible.
I am currently using the ISO-5 to powering up the following:

Line 6 - Relay G30 wireless system
TC Electronic Polytune
Eventide H9
MXR Flanger

This is my new setup:
Shure GLXD16 wireless system
Eventide H9
MXR Flanger

Is it possible to use a Current Doubler Cable to power up my GLXD16 by using two of the 9V outputs? I read that I need a minimum of 250mA

Thanks

Tony

I think you're still going to fall short on the available current since I assume you are already using the High Current output for the H9.

Hi John

Yes, I am currently using the high current output for the H9 and 18v output for the MXR Flanger.

Just thinking out loud here, is Voodoo Lab able to make a custom "triple" current cable? I am okay to use all 3 available 9V outputs to power up the GLXD if possible.

Or

Using a voltage doubler cable (9v+9v) to power the MXR Flanger and a current doubler cable using (9v+18v) outputs to power the Shure GLXD?

It will save me to having to upgrade my pedal power.

Please advise,

Thanks
Tony

You could combine three 9V outs for a total of 300mA available, but combining anything whit the 18V output won't work for this setup... the receiver accepts "only" up to 15V I believe.

Give us a call for a custom cable, or you could combine two Current Doubler Adapters.

I hope that helps!
