Eventide H9 and iso 5

Post by Tristan »

Hi !

Just got an H9 from eventide and I plugged it into 9V / 300 mA from my iso 5.
Seems to be good and sounds as good as the original power suply.

As it is basicly a 500 mA, does it look safe to you ?

Thanks a lot

Tristan

The ISO-5 high current output is actually capable of at least 400mA, we used to label them a bit too conservatively. ;)

The H9 has an actual current draw that is well under 400mA, so this is a perfectly safe setup you have.

I hope that helps!

Don't you need to use the reverse polarity (center positive) Barrel cables to power the H9? Are all the cables that have the red tip Center positive cables?

Yes, the Red ended cable is what you will need to use with the H9 (or any of the Eventide pedals so far ;) ). Not only is it the only cable that will actually fit the power jack, it is in fact Center Positive polarity.

I hope that helps!
