I am pretty sure I am ok here, but just wanted to make sure the pedals I will be using are all ok with normal dip switch operation and a question on distortion pedal use on 7 and 8 positions. I realize those 2 SAG positions (7,8) if used, use the non-normal dip switch settings, but which distortion pedals below would work best there, or not? Here is what I will be using with the PP2 ( I will be switching out the distortions as I have too many for the outputs ):
Peterson Strobotuner
Boss CS-2 compressor/sustainor
Analogman Maxon OD9/808 mod Distortion
Hermeda Audio Zendrive
1984 Proco Rat R2DU ( ok with 3.5mm Mini plug, RIght? )
EH Deluxe BIg Muff PI
1987 Ibanez CS-9 stereo chorus
EH Nano Boost
TC HOF Reverb
Thanks, Easy.
Just making sure with mix of vintage and new pedals and PP2
Re: Just making sure with mix of vintage and new pedals and PP2
With the DIP switches set normal the SAG dials have no effect and outputs 7 & 8 are 9VDC, 100mA capacity (same as outputs 1-4 DIP switches NORMAL). The SAG dials are only engaged when the output's DIP switch is set AWAY from NORMAL. As such, they allow you to simulate a dying battery by dialing the voltage down from 9 (fully clockwise) to about 4.5 volts (fully counterclockwise).
Any of your pedals that sound "better" when the battery is old/dying might be worth trying with the voltage sagged!
