New User and Want to get the power Right

Post by mgeba321 »

I have 3 pedals currently:
Boomerang 3
Maxon Compressor : https://maxonfx.com/collections/reissue ... compressor
Ibenez Tubescreamer

The Tubescreamer I'm assuming is the standard 'center negative' identical barrel conector cables which are supplied with my pedal board.

What should I use for the other two? Particularily stumped on the Maxon compressor.

Based on the link you provided, the Maxon compressor uses 11mA DC center negative, so basically any of the outputs would work.

The Boomerang needs 500mA, so you might have to combine outputs if you are using one of the older Voodoo Lab power supplies.

Indeed.

To power the Boomerang III with a Pedal Power supply, use a 9VDC high current capacity* (400mA or 500mA) and with a 2.1mm/2.5mm Reverse Polarity Barrel Cable, part# PPL6, PPL6-R

*(or with a Pedal Power 2 Plus combine outputs 5 and 6 with a Current Doubler Adapter, part# PPAP, for 9VDC and 500mA capacity)

The other pedals use any 9VDC output with one of the all black (standard polarity) cables supplied.

Hope this helps!
