Question on linking PP2+ and PP3+

Post by Greg Fasolino »

I recently increased my board from 8 to 18 powered pedals and upgraded to a Novo 32 pedaltrain.
To help power all the new pedals, I bought a PP3+ to go along with my original PP2+.
I know the PP2+ has a courtesy outlet, which I assume means I can hook them together instead of having to use them side by side. (I did not see a courtesy outlet on the newer supply).

I'm not the most technical/engineering adept person, so I was hoping for some guidance on what was the best way to get the two supplies to work together, and if there are certain pedals that need to go in certain inputs.

This is what I will be pluggin in:
Boss TU-2 55 mA
Dunlop CBM95 Cry Baby Mini 0.9 mA
Mooer Yellow Comp 10 mA
EHX Green Russian Big Muff 2.2 mA
Boss SD-1 10 mA
ProCo Rat (1986 Black Face) ? mA
Boss CE-2 (1985 vintage) 9 mA
EHX Deluxe Electric Mistress 40 mA
Catalinbread Coriolis Effect 70 mA
EXH Small Stone Nano 10 mA
Boss TR-2 25 mA
Death by Audio Micro Dream 28 mA
Boss DD-3 35 mA
EHX Stereo Memory Man w/Hazarai 200 mA
Catalinbread Cloak 60 mA
Matthews Astronomer 65 mA
Walrus Slo 80 mA
TC Ditto X2 100 mA

It's perfectly fine to power your Pedal Power 3 Plus from the AC courtesy outlet of your Pedal Power 2 Plus.

The pedals can be setup as follows:

To power the EHX Stereo Memory Man w/Hazarai use any 9VDC output on the Pedal Power 3 Plus or use output 5 or 6 (DIP switch in the 9V/normal setting) on the Pedal Power 2 Plus and with one of the all black (standard polarity) cables.

To power the ProCo Rat use any 9VDC output with a 3.5mm Mini Plug cable, part# PPMIN, PPMIN-R.

And, for each of the remaining 9V pedals, simply use any 9VDC output on either supply with one of the all black (standard polarity) cables.
