Hi!
Can I power up the Boomerang III Phrase Sampler with PP2+.
And - if yes - how?
thanks!

The Boomerang Phrase Sampler III calls for an adapter that can source a minimum of 700mA. With a current doubler adapter, then PP2+ can source only 500mA at most. Because of this, more than likely it cannot be powered via the PP2+.

I modified PedalTrain Mini (FuelTank Chameleon power supply underneath) for a customer from France who requested this pedal in his signal chain. He confirmed from Mike at Boomerang that 500mA 9vDC will work.

"Mike said DC 9V 500mA is fine."

We ordered a custom parallel Y cable (current doubler) from Voodoo Lab and his Boomerang works fine.

What Mr. Wilder didn't know when he answered this is that we have actually had the Boomerang III here for testing and have confirmed that it in fact does work with the Pedal Power 2+ when using the Current Doubler cable on outputs 5 and 6 switched to the Normal position.

Hey John,

I know this is an old post. I just bought a Boomerang III and have been using VL PP2+, Mondos and 4x4 for ages. Great products by the way. I am combining the current from output 5 and 6 from my PP2+. I was just wondering what cable would I use to go from the current doubler cable to the Boomerang III pedal, as a regular connector doesn't fit. The red-to-black (reverse polarity) one does fit, but just want to confirm before using it. Also is it true that the difference between a pedal that takes reverse polarity versus a regular pedal (with voltage, current and everything else being constant) is just the size of the hole? Thanx.

The Red ended cable is the correct one to use here. http://www.voodoolab.com/shop/index.php ... taitp7kf31

There is no direct correlation between the polarity and the jack size/type used in guitar pedals. However, a 2.5mm jack is most commonly used on devices that take AC power. This pedal happens to accept AC or DC power.

I hope that helps!
