Pedal Power 2+ and Vanamp Solemate = how to connect?)

Post by Artemich »

Hello! Im became a Pedal Power 2+ owner now, and have some questions about it. Please, tell me how i can achieve the right power supply with it for my reverb - Vanamps Solemate.
I was asking Van-amps about power consumption and recieved:

"If you are wondering what substitute power supply can be used, make sure it is an AC voltage supply at 12VAC and at least 300ma with a 2.1 mm barrel plug. If you have and older unit, they used a 3.5 mm mini phone plug." and also:
"We have measured peaks at 125ma.
Since the unit’s power supply is AC and not DC voltage polarity is not valid."

so.. which one output is suitable for use with this reverb? :?:
Looking forward for any advice! Thanks.

The Vanamp Solemate requires AC power. For this reason it cannot be powered directly from the outputs of a Pedal Power 2+. With the Pedal Power 2+, the only available option is to power it from its manufacturer supplied power pack from the courtesy outlet.

It can, however, be powered directly from the outputs of a Pedal Power AC.

That's precisely what I meant when I stated -
