What combo of power supplies do I need?

Post by jaybaab »

I am cleaning up my pedal board and want to get rid of the old power stips and wall warts. I currently have:
- Ernie Ball Volume Jr. (no power needed)
- Boss TU-2 tuner
- Boss PW-10 VWAH
- Fulltone Fat Boost 3
- Barber Tone Press
- Ibanez TS-9 Tube Screamer (original)
- Ibanex TS-9 Tube Screamer (re-issue)
- Fulltone Full Drive 2
- Emma Discombobulator
- BOSS DD-5 delay
- BOSS DD-6 delay

Do I need 2 x Pedal Power 2+, or 1 x Pedal Power 2+ & ISO 5?

HELP

You could do it with one PP2+ and a few y-split adapters (you could also utilize the DC slave jack on your TU-2). If you want to have each pedal on its own isolated output, then yes add the ISO-5.

Another thing to consider is the Fat Boost 3 and FullDrive2 can be run at 18v. If you want to do that, the ISO-5 has an 18v port or you can run a few voltage double cables from the PP2+.

Thanks man...

So the Pedal Power 2+ and the ISO5 would come with what I need to power everything independantly, as well as run the two Fulltone pedals with 18V?

With a Pedal Power 2+ and and ISO-5 combo the only extra thing you would need to get would be a Voltage Doubler cable for the Fulltone pedal that will be run off the Pedal Power 2+ if you want to go for the 18V option. Write to info@voodolab.com for info on where you can get this cable locally or to simply order it direct from Voodoo Lab. Also, you will have some outputs left over if you wanted to fill all the newly saved space with more pedals! ;)

I hope that helps!
