Hi,
My name is Chris Sterr and have a quick question for you. I have a Voodoo Lab Power 2 Plus, and it works great. My question to you is about the power supplies that you were putting out 10 years ago. I recently bought an older model on eBay for my back up board. I run a T-Rex Replica for delay, and with my Plus 2 it seems to be powered adequetly and works great. But with the Replica, if it's not powered sufficiently (with a lower quality power supply) it make this horrible farty, static sounding echo that sounds horrible. When plugged into the eBay Voodoo Power, it does this. I checked all of the notches on the bottem and they all on switched to "on" (but I'll probably check again later when I'm messing around with it). Are these older power supplies as dependable as the new ones? Is there a chance that the power supply went bad before it was sold to me (though I doubt that)?
Thanks,
Chris
Voodoo Lab Power Supply Question
Re: Voodoo Lab Power Supply Question
I work at eBay so please don't label the sub-par power supply the "ebay voodoo power" .
Seriously, I was in your exact position using the courtesy outlet on the back of the pedal power 2 for my Replica. I just bought a Pedal Power 2+ last week and using the 5 or 6 plugs with the switch away from "normal" will give you the right mA's to power it. The pedal power 2 will not supply enough mA's to the Replica.

That's correct. We periodically make improvements to the Pedal Power. When there are major changes to functionality, then you'll see an actual model name change, such as 2 to 2+. The smaller changes slip past unnoticed by most. The very best thing for you to do is every couple of years give your Pedal Power to some aspiring youngster and buy the very newest and best model for yourself. That's my opinion, anyway...Mark V wrote:I work at eBay so please don't label the sub-par power supply the "ebay voodoo power" .

This may sound silly, but will the PP2+ power the VL Amp Switcher? I am using the #4 9V output into the Amp Switcher, but I don't seem to be getting any power to the switcher.

The Amp Switcher works like most pedal effects... to turn it on, you need to plug a cable into the input jack.wharris wrote:This may sound silly, but will the PP2+ power the VL Amp Switcher? I am using the #4 9V output into the Amp Switcher, but I don't seem to be getting any power to the switcher.
