Would there be any issue with hooking up a single pedal with this adapter, leaving the second split barrel unconnected? I was thinking that it would be useful to power a pedal with this cable, leaving the floating barrel available for those times when you might want to add a pedal to the board for trying stuff out (where you've used up all the remaining DC outputs on the Voodoo)?

If I'm not mistaken, they talk about how the splitter is designed in a way that it reduces hum if it's not connected to a pedal.

Thanks for that, appreciate it. I actually ended up posting this question again, as post approval took so long that I thought it had been lost. I got an answer from Ben at tech support which supports the link you kindly posted. He said:

"That can work fine and without causing any problems, but... if only one pedal is connected, it will only work if the one pedal is connected to the all-black lead (not the lead with the white stripe, which is ground lifted and will not function unless both pedals are connected)."

Awesome. Good to know that your idea works! Hope you try good stuff in that extra output.
