I just bought a voltage doubler cable (center positive) to power a Qtron+ by Electro-Harmonix. It arrived in the mail today but when I plugged it in the pedal didn't turn on.
- I checked that the dip switches for the two power ports I plugged it into were switched away from "Normal" for 12V each
- I plugged a single center negative cable into both ports and measured the voltage drop across the cable - and got 12V each (first two pictures)
- I plugged the voltage doubler cable (the two black male ends) into the same two ports and measured the voltage drop across the red end and got 0v (3rd photo)
- I checked the resistance across all the cables - the black center negative cables showed connectivity all the way through the cable, but the PPEH24 only showed connectivity from the first "leg" of the cable, not across the shorter cable to either cable.
Is this cable faulty, or am I being dumb? If it's faulty can how do I go about getting a replacement?

Voltage Doubler Cable (PPEH24) Troubleshooting
Re: Voltage Doubler Cable (PPEH24) Troubleshooting
Being a voltage "doubler", the cable connects the two 9V outputs in series. As such, the easiest way to check the cable (since you know the outputs are fine) is probably to simply plug the cable into the two 12V outputs and measure the output (red end) of the cable itself.
It should show close to 24VDC. If it shows zero, the cable is likely bad.
Please, call us or send us an email ( info@voodoolab.com ) we are glad to get you a replacement!
