The Whammy IV requires AC power and cannot be powered from any of the DC outputs on the Pedal Power.

On the original Pedal Power, the Flashback x4 will require the use of a Current Doubler Adapter connected to any two outputs with the corresponding DIP switches set to the "ON" position.

I hope that helps!

Ahhh the old AC that's right. Makes sense thanks, now is the AC plug on the back of the unit (PP1) isolated by chance?

Sorry to exclude that part... You can power your Whammy IV from the Courtesy Outlet using the supplied adapter. As for it being "isolated"... yes, in that it is simply a copy of the Mains Voltage Input on the Pedal Power. It certainly isn't tied to any of the Isolated DC Outputs.

Thanks john. There's a noticeable difference using the "courtesy plug". Nice to know this thing is still kicking since 1998.

The Electro Harmonix POG 2 can be powered from output 5 or 6 on a Pedal Power 2+ with the corresponding DIP switch set to Normal.
If you have the older Pedal Power 2 (not +) then you would use a Current Doubler Adapter (the one with the Green end) connected to any two outputs with the corresponding DIP switches set to Normal.

Good Luck!

Boss SY-300 guitar synthesizer, requires 400mA, using PP2+ using the standard 2.1 cable with the PPAP current doubler into jacks 5 and 6, with the corresponding dip switches set to Normal, providing 500mA. Didn't power up with the dip switches set away from Normal.

No reason this shouldn't have worked... Are you sure you had our Current Doubler Adapter (the one with the Green end)?

Also, I just realized that this is almost a month old... sorry about that, I guess I didn't see you hiding up here in this thread :oops:

Using an original first issue Pedal Power I am running the following Pedals;

Guitar into; D'Addario Tuner --> MXR 6 Band EQ --> EP-Booster --> S.D. Pickup Booster --> Morley ABY that splits the signal to;

A = CompTortion --> Hiwatt SA112 Bulldog

B = MXR EP-101 Echoplex Preamp --> MXR EP-103 Echoplex Delay --> Marshall 18w 2x10" Combo

The only Pedal not being powered using one of the 8 Outlets is the MXR EP-103 Echoplex Delay since in needs 250ma and the older units only put out 80ma.
