Which PP will power a Boss RC50?

Hey guys!

I was wondering if the PP2+ or the ISO5 will be able to power the Boss RC-50?

The RC50 requires 9V DC from a Rolan ACI or ACB series adaptor. The site says the unit's current draw is 450 mA.

Any ideas??

Thanks!

The PP2+ will not power the RC-50. It is very likely that ISO-5 will be able to do this, but ISO-5 is not available yet.

If anyone has measured actual current draw of the RC-50, please post.

Thanks!

I know I'm digging up an ancient thread, but has anyone tried the ISO5 with the Boss RC50 yet?? Now that it's available I see that it has a 300mA 9V output, does this necessarily mean it won't power the RC50?

Thanks guys

We don't recommend exceeding 400mA on the high current output of an ISO-5 and I would dare say that the 450mA that Boss states is likely the actual current draw of the RC-50.

You can power the RC-50 from outputs 5 and 6 with the DIP switches set to Normal on a Pedal Power 2+ using a Current Doubler cable. We didn't offer this cable back when this post was new

I hope that helps!

Does the current doubler cable work for the ISO 5 to combine 2 outputs to create the necessary amperage to power the RC50?

thanks
