Can you reverse the direction of the courtesy outlet?

Post by 8three »

I have a cord I want to plug into the courtesy outlet, but the only issue is that the cord would point down (based on the direction the plug is facing). Is it possible to turn the courtesy outlet 180 degrees so that the cord points up when I plug it in instead?

What kind of cord is this that you're referring to?

One of these specifically:

If you look at the direction of that plug, and the direction of the courtesy outlet, this plug's cord would point down. Any ideas?

OK...I see what you mean now. I was having a hard time picturing exactly what you were trying to plug into that outlet.

The hole for the courtesy outlet is an exact fit to the outlet and it will only go into the hole one way. I suggest either buying or making a really short 3 prong pigtail to come off the courtesy outlet for that pictured device to plug into.

Wow... sometimes the easiest solutions are the ones we never think about... why don't I just mount my PP2+ on my pedal board upside down? That would solve the problem.

Is there any risk to turning the thing upside down? I read through the manual and didn't see any warnings.

Thoughts?

No problem with mounting the Pedal Power 2+ upside down. Good Luck!
