Hi,

Is it possible to power the Boss DD20 with an old PP2 (the one before the PP2+). If so, how?

Thanks

Simon

In order to reliably power a DD-20 from a Pedal Power 2 you will need to use a Current Doubler cable connected to any two outputs with the DIP switches set to Normal.

A Pedal Power 2+ can power a DD-20 from output 5 or 6 with the corresponding DIP switch set to Normal.

Which one is the current double cable? Is that the same one that I can use to double the voltage for an MXR Flanger? Can the Boss DD-20 and the MXR Flanger be powered by the old Pedal Power 2 in this manner?
Thanks

A Current Doubler cable will combine the current of two similar outputs but leave the voltage the same as a single output.
A Voltage Doubler cable will combine the voltage of two similar outputs but the current available will remain the same as a single output.
These cables and adapters are quite new and are not yet shown on our site. Please feel free to write to info@voodoolab.com to find a dealer in your area that may carry these cables or to order directly from Voodoo Lab.

The 18V MXR Flanger will require a Voltage Doubler cable connected to any two outputs on a Pedal Power 2 with the DIP switches set to Normal.
