Pigtronix and the PP2+

Hey all,
I am seeking advice on what t do with my pigtronix ep-1. It is 12v AC at 833ma ( ). Having just purchased two of these wonderful units, i thought I would be able to power all my pigtronix stuff, but cannot seem to get power to the pedal. I am using the ACA outlets with the dip switch away from the normal position to create the twelve volts. I assume that it is the 833ma that is causing the issue. Is there a way to power this pedal aside from the courtesy outlet?
Somethng else that i noticed and was a little concerned about was how loud my Echolution was when powered by the courtesy outlet. I was adding pedals in and when i got to that one, wow was it noisy. I have ordered the 18v adapter cables to run it through 5 and 6, but I won't have them for another week or so. Is there any reason to think that the pedal will quiet down when powered this way instead of the courtesy outlet?
Thanks,
Steve
