PP2+ ports 5 and 6. Unsure of non-normal switch output

Post by thesjkexperience »

5-6 (L6) 14.5V / 12V (unregulated) 50mA / 200mA+

This is what 5 and 6 are listed as when switched away from normal. Is it saying that 5 is 14.5 V unregulated 50mA and that 6 is 12Volts unregulated at 200mA+ ?

What does it mean to be unregulated? Our Voltage out of the outlet is averaging 125.3 Volts over the last 2 weeks. I measured port 5 at 16.7 Volts. I want to power a BJFE Pine Green Compressor at 15.5 to 18 Volts, but I need less than 10mA current. How much power is getting to the pedal on port 5 at the non-normal switch position?

Unregulated means that the output voltage will be dependent on the load.

"5-6 (L6) 14.5V / 12V (unregulated) 50mA / 200mA+" This is saying that in the unregulated mode that either one of outputs 5 and 6 will drop down to about 14.5V with a 50mA load, and 12V with a 200mA load.

If your pedal will introduce a 10mA load, I am sure you will achieve at least the 15.5V minimum requirement for this pedal.

I hope that helps!
