Powering TC Harmony GXT with Pedal Power 2 Plus

Hi... is it possible to power my Harmony GXT with my Pedal Power 2 Plus - please explain the process in detail. It needs 12 VDC 300 mA, tip negative.

Yes, you can power your Harmony-G XT from output 5 or 6 on the Pedal Power 2+ with the corresponding DIP switch set away from Normal using one of the included all black barrel cables.

The manual for the Pedal Power 2 Plus says "5-6 (L6) 14.5V / 12V (unregulated) 50mA / 200mA+" [when dip switch on]

My question is, what does the [+] mean after 200mA+

Because the Harmony GXT needs 300mA... sounds like it would only get 200 mA on only output 5 or 6 with one cable

Also in the Manual for the Pedal Power it says this...

"The current doubler cable combines two outputs in parallel to
increase the current capability. Using this cable on outputs 5 and 6
with both switches set away from NORMAL will provide approximately
12V at 400mA."

You suggest just using one cable set away from normal on 5 or 6 - here it suggests the doubler cable

Is one cable enough? The doubler to much power?

I'm a bit confused - no one really gives me a clear answer in the guitar shops.

The Harmony-G XT comes with a 300mA power supply, however the pedal itself does not draw that much current. Because of this, you can safely power it using output 5 or 6 on the Pedal power 2+. This is mentioned in the section about the TC Electronic Nova series pedals, and the TC Helicon pedals are virtually identical with regards to the power requirements.

Also in the Manual for the Pedal Power it says this...

That is quoted from the section explaining what the different doubler cables do. It isn't a suggestion, just a functional explanation.

Yes!

The doubler to much power?

No. A device will only draw the current it needs. The reason this isn't suggested is because there is no need to use two outputs to do what can be done from a single output.
