Can I power the Digitech Drop Pedal with Pedal Power II Plus? Does it require any special cables?

You should be able to power The Drop from output 5 or 6 with the corresponding DIP Switch set to Normal using one of the supplied all black Standard Barrel cables.

I hope that helps!

I just assembled a new pedal board, powered with a Power Pedal 2, and it will not power my Digitech Drop using the supplied black barrel cables. I have tried a few of them just to make sure I didn't have a dud. And I have the DIP switches all set to normal. I tested with both outputs 5 and 6. Is there any special cable I can buy to use 2 of the DC outlets to power it?

If you do in-fact have a Pedal Power 2... NOT the Pedal Power 2+... then that is to be expected.

Outputs 5 and 6 on a Pedal Power 2 were current limited to 100mA.

Outputs 5 and 6 on a Pedal Power 2+ are limited to 250mA.

I hope that helps!

I have a Voodoo Lab 2 plus and I'm not able to power a Digitech Timebender. Should this be the case? I am using the appropriate plugs and I've left the 5 & 6 switches in "normal". Thanks!!

The TimeBender is a completely different animal. It requires AC power and cannot be powered from the DC outputs on a Pedal Power 2+. You can power the TimeBender from the Courtesy Outlet using the supplied adapter.

Good Luck!

I'm having the same issues powering my digitech drop with a pp2+. Any insight on this?

This thread has gone slightly off the topic since the original post so just to be clear...

You should be able to power The Drop from output 5 or 6 on a Pedal Power 2+ with the corresponding DIP Switch set to Normal using one of the included all black Standard Barrel cables.

If what you actually have the Pedal Power 2 (not the + model) like rockguitar2000 this will not work, or if you actually have the Timebender like FSA2015 then none of this will work. ;)

Same issue for me does not work with Voodoo plus 2 power supply
Tried also a Boss power supply I had in hand also does not work
Seems to only work with the power supply that comes wit it.
Maybe these effects require strict current ratings?

It should work.

Are you using specifically output 5 or 6 with one of the all black (standard polarity) cables?
