Voodoo Lab

Hey all,

I was using a Fulltone '70 pedal with my PP2...no problems.
I have recently acquired a Fulltone '69 and I'm wondering if I can use the same connector. The reason I ask is that in the PP2 manual it says that the '69 requires a special connector, but it says nothing about the '70.

Do they have different power requirements?

My lack of electrical knowledge....amps, mA, etc...can be frustrating sometimes. It's all alien to me.

The solution:
The '69 will require a reverse polarity barrel connector. You can get one from any Voodoo Lab dealer or direct from us by calling or sending an email to info@voodoolab.com.

The why:
The '69 is uses what is known as a positive ground circuit just like our Proctavia. Some manufacturers reverse the polarity of the power jack... I believe this is in an effort to drive home that the pedal must be powered from an isolated power supply. (Thankfully someone made a power supply with all the outputs ground isolated ) A positive ground pedal will short out a common ground power supply that is also powering negative ground circuit devices.
