Effects Loop

Post by james »

If anybody could help me that would be great.
I have mesa dual w/ 3 pedals, GCX, Ground Control Pro
I want to run the gcx through my effects loop, not up front.
Is this possible? How?

I'm not familiar with that amp, but if its a series loop, it should be a piece of cake.

Connect the "send" from the loop to "in" or "pass-thru" of the GCX, then send the out from the last loop you use in the GCX to the "return" of the loop.

What effects are you using? Certain things will sound better in the loop (delay, chorus, reverb, other time-based things) and others will be better in front of the amp (OD/Distortion, Whammy, Wah).

You can do both with GCX, as long as you cable it correctly.

Like Unix-guy said... no problem.
I have a Mesa Lone Star.
And I use the loop for Vol, Chorus, Delay, Phaser and BBE Sonic Max

Works great !!!
