Sparkle Drive Mod, or, Modded Sparkle Drive?

Post by Richard »

After many years looking for "the" overdrive pedal, I bought a Sparkle Drive, and I LOVE it. Great for the medium gain pedal. I need to replace my hi gain pedal. I want to retain the smooth voice of the SD but with option to get more gain. I'm considering two options: buying another SD and getting it modded (JHS, Monte Allums, Alchemy Audio, Keeley or AnalogMan) or buying the SD Mod. Thoughts?

The Sparkle Drive Mod of course! ;)

If you get the chance, check one out at a local music store or check out James' Mod Tour video.

And you still get the original Sparkle Drive sound without modification, all with the twist of the 4 way switch.
