Analog Chorus Volume issue, findings...

Post by jcourtjr »

So, I have struggled with this pedal for over 10 years. Bought and sold it 3 times. I stumbled upon something. I only hear this volume increase when the pedal is engaged (and its a pretty big increase) when there is a buffered pedal in front. If my guitar is plugged into the pedal its seems ok. When I have, lets say a boss pedal in bypass in front of the chorus, the volume jump happens. What is this phenomenon?

This boost is actually caused by a significant boost to some low frequencies, just like the original CE-1 would have done. There is a mod to this pedal to reduce the perceived volume boost caused by this. Please feel free to give us a call or write to info@voodoolab.com to see about getting the "bass mod" for your Analog Chorus.

I hope that helps!
