Hi all,
I am PB shopping and really like the size and price of the Dingbat Medium, but I would need to put the PP2+ somewhere else under the board. Line 6 in their infinite wisdom has chosen a huge brick PSU for the HX Effects and I don't feel comfortable plugging that into the courtesy outlet through the front opening the way the default brackets mount the PP2. Can the PP2+ be bracket mounted in other locations under the board, or would I have to use Velcro if I wanted to put it somewhere else?
Also one other question. Does anybody have the dimensions of the rectangular cutouts on the front of the board? I might try to craft an I/O panel to sit there.
Thanks in advance!
Alternate Mounting Options PP2+ & Dingbat Medium
Re: Alternate Mounting Options PP2+ & Dingbat Medium
Something like this might solve the Wall Wart issue...
(an Extension Cord with a reasonably flat Right Angle wall plug)
As for alternate mounting positions, no there isn't something built in other than position 1 and 2... left or right but still mounted along the tall edge of the board. Anything else and you will either be drilling holes to use the original mounting hardware or you could use something like 3M Dual Lock. I wouldn't trust Velcro to keep a power supply in place since the power supply is under the board surface.
The rectangular cutouts are 1-3/4" wide x 1-1/4" tall.
I hope that helps!

Yes, that was very helpful. Thank you John!
