Im trying to replace the stock passive switch pedal that comes with the peavey 6505 plus that controls Channel/Crunch/Effects Loop with anything that can incorporate me using a Boss es8 for midi controlling all three funtions. I own a voodo labs control switcher but it only allows me to change the channel function using the multi option with a irritating poping sound coming from my speaker cab.
Any thoughts, ideas are greatly appreciated, thanks.
Also the stock peavey switcher pedal and amp take a 7 pin din cable, where as the control switcher has a 5 pin din control on the multi.
Controling the Channel/Crunch/Effects loop switching on a Peavey 6505 Plus head with midi?

Are you maybe trying to use a regular MIDI Cable between the Control Switcher MULTI Jack and the Footswitch Jack on the amp? If so, immediately unplug that cable from your amp!
The MULTI jack needs a custom made cable to interface most amps and the 6505+/5150 II is certainly one of them. We can make this cable for you, please give us a call or write to info@voodoolab.com for up-to-date pricing and availability.
Alternatively, if you would rather make this cable yourself, here are the necessary connections using the DIN pin numbering on a 5-Pin DIN plug (to mate to Our MULTI Jack) to a 7 Pin DIN plug (to mate to the Amp Footswitch Jack).
5-Pin DIN 1 to 7 Pin DIN 5
5-Pin DIN 4 to 7 Pin DIN 7
5-Pin DIN 2 to 7 Pin DIN 2&4
5-Pin DIN 5 Not Connected
5-Pin DIN 3 to 7 Pin DIN 3
I hope that helps!
