I have a GCX with a Ground Control.
My pedals:
TS808HW, MXR EVH117, Xotic AC Plus, MXR Bass Octave Deluxe, Eventide TimeFactor, EventideH9 with a Expression Pedal from Mission Engineering (SP-H9), Dunlop JC95B Pedal, ISP Decimator II
Friedman JJ Jr 20watt Amp
Bogner 2x12CH
I need help setting up my pedals to the GCX.
I would like to run this through my FX loop on my amp. Thanks
New to rack and effects please help

Hi there,
You have some pedals that I’d run in the front of the amp and not in the fx loop.
Do you have a drawer or tray for pedals in your rack? If you do, I’d do the following as in this diagram
http://www.voodoolab.com/gcxdiagrams/13 ... nd_You.pdf
Your wah has a switch to turn it on and off so this doesn’t need a loop but you can use one if you want to, depends on how far away you are from your rack to the pedalboard/pedal. Short runs I’d not use a loop, long runs (longer than 15ft 4m) , I’d use a loop.
Are you using the H9 in normal (post) mode or pre/post mode? I’ll do it as though you are normal.
I’d do the following with your setup:
Guitar -> GCX rear feed thru -> GCX front feed thru -> GC95B in -> wah out -> GCX guitar in -> GCX guitar out rear -> loop 1 in -> loop 1 send -> Xotic AC Plus in -> X AC out -> loop 1 return -> loop 1 out -> loop 2 in -> loop 2 snd -> TS808HW in -> TS out -> loop 2 rtn -> loop 2 out -> Decimator II in -> Decimator out -> amp in -> amp snd -> loop 3 in -> loop 3 snd -> EVH117 in -> 117 out -> loop 3 rtn -> loop 3 out -> loop 4 in -> loop 4 snd -> Bass Octave in -> BO out -> loop 4 rtn -> loop 4 out -> loop 5 in -> loop 5 snd -> TimeFactor in -> TF out -> loop 5 rtn -> loop 5 out -> loop 6 in -> loop 6 snd -> H9 in 1 -> H9 out 1 -> loop 6 rtn -> loop 6 out -> amp fx rtn.
If you want the H9 in pre/post mode, so you can use the distortions etc available from it, use H9 in 1 in a loop before your amp in and another loop for H9 in 2 where it is in the previously stated position.
Of course, this is where I’d run it, if you want to put them all in the fx loop of the amp, just put the cable directly into the amp from the guitar and follow the diagram and how I have it setup just above.
Hope this gives you some direction.
Cheers

Once you get all the above sorted, then we can play with the expression pedal.
I’ve not played with the Mission Engineering H9 pedal so I’m unsure if it will work with the GC Pro expression port. You’ll have to just plug in and see if it does.
If you need help with this, get back to us.
