Mounting Issues

Post by deepblue »

Hey guys, a few questions.

Im using a Pedal Power Plus 2. Im going to mount it on the Pedaltrain Pro.
Heres my problem...

I have a Rotosphere, which I assume has to be plugged into the auxiliary
outlet on the back of the PP2 using the wall wart...but, the wall wart is too big to fit....Can I mount the PP2 on top the the pedal board instead of underneath?...my only concern would be the glue on the velcro getting too hot.

...but, heres another question. Since the Rotosphere is a 12v pedal, why can I not just use a 12v setting on the PP2?

Heat is not at all an issue. The Pedal Power 2+ can be mounted to the top with Velcro or Dual Lock with no problems whatsoever.

If mounting underneath, you can run a short extension cable from the Courtesy Outlet to the wall wort and mount the wall wort anywhere you can fit it under the board. I find this to be a good route anyway as often the wall wort's magnetic field requires that you be able to orient it such that it does not introduce noise into the system.

In this case you cannot power this pedal directly because the Rotosphere requires 12AC while the outputs of the Pedal Power 2+ are all DC.

I hope that helps!
