PX8 and EVH 5150 III Midi Channel Switching

Hey all. Ok I THINK I've got the idea to set up my new Dingbat/PX8 and also use to switch channels via Midi. The EVH 5150 III 50w have a Midi In which is awesome. To alleviate 'tap dancing' here is my simple set up in mind: Pedals (usual stuff: gate, eq, delay, boost, chorus, etc.) all through the amp's loop and correspond to preset commands through PX8. My assumption once all set, I program the EVH via Midi to correspond with each preset (Bank 'A' turns on chorus and delay and EVH Green (clean) channel. Bank 'B' gate and eq pedal come on, delay and chorus turn off and EVH switches to 'Blue' channel and so on. Ive run the gamut for 4 years with modeling units and can say I feel a better tonal connection through tried and true pedals through amp's the loop and no more firmware updates! I think this is the perfect marriage between traditional and technology. Has anyone used this same set up and any tips for setting up greatly appreciated. Thanks!
