Foot Switch Choice Question...

1. Why is it that most of the foot controls including the Ground Control use the foot switches they do and not the softer touch quieter switches that are available?

2. Is there a reliability problem with the softer touch quieter switches or a patient issue?

PERSONAL OBSERVATION
In an environment that can sometimes be very quite (theatrical shows, churches, or really small venues) between songs and I have to switch channels the audible click of the switch is kind of annoying and can change the focus of the audience from what they are suppose to be paying attention to. I have actually seen heads and eyes turn to figure out what the noise was.

The buttons on the Ground Control Pro are not like the typical bypass switches found on most true bypass pedals. There is not the "ker-chunk" sound like there is with a pedal. The click of the Ground Control Pro buttons is in fact quite subdued. I hope that helps!

Well, I assumed due to the look of the switch and I came up wrong - I gotta stop doing that!! I checked out a friends Ground Control last night and the switches are indeed quiet, good choice. I'm going to have to add a Ground Control to my equipment SOON!

Thanks for the feedback.
