CHORUS VOLUME MOD on VLAC Serial VC-5567 ??

BEFORE: I had contacted VL support a while back about my chorus pedal. I have an older VL Analog Chorus which is louder when on. After a few emails it turns out it isn't one that can have a volume mod done on it.

NOW: I have seen another one for sale, serial VC-5567, can that have a volume mod or is it one of the newer ones that doesn't need it?

I currently use a Boss LM-2 after the chorus to keep the volume the same. It would be nice not to need to.

Thanks,
from
Chris

EDIT: I actually have a revision 5, my old one was a revision 2. I did a mod on the output to the switch so that there is a voltage divider in circuit which is effective when the pedal is turned on. The resistors are 5k6 and 220k. You cut the track under the switch and connect some hookup wires and resistors and put a bit of insulation tape on it. This makes the volume between on or off be the same.

That would not be the best way to perform the mod, since the real issue is actually that there is a significant boost to very low bass frequencies... just like a CE-1 would do.

Any Voodoo Lab Analog Chorus can have the mod installed, but an older unit will have to come to us for the mod. Units with circuit board revision 04 or higher do not have to come to us for the mod although we still prefer to see it ourselves and we do not charge to do the mod. Contact us at info@voodoolab.com and we can arrange to mod the one you already have.
I hope that helps!
