Amp Selector Output..Not Good

Hello All,

I have an Amp Selector and have been using it for a couple of years now, just fine. The pots on it were always a little scratchy but I tend to leave them at their level so that wasn't a problem. Now, the outputs are starting to sound really bad. I would describe it as making my amps(s) sound like they have a blown speaker. I have tried plugging straight in the front of my amps and sounds as it should. I have eliminated all other pedals and any cables from the issue. I'm kinda stuck here as my rig consists of three Marshall heads.

Any suggestions?

Thanks in advance,

Derek

How are you powering the Amp Selector?

Hey John,

With a Pedal Power2. It powers all my devices and has for about two years. This problem has creeped in fairly recently. I'll tell ya something I tried late last night was removing the outer shell and blasting the unit with contact cleaner. I can't report back on the success of that, It was late and I wasn't going to run out my Marshalls at midnight but I will try it out tonight and let you know.

In the mean time, if you can give some thought, I would appreciate it.

Thanks,
Derek
